Centre Overview: This site is located within a group/private practice setting of three full-time and four part-time Royal College Certified Dermatologists. The two main investigators are Active Staff at a McMaster University Teaching Hospital, however, none of the trials are conducted at the hospital site and all take place at the private practice site. The Dermatology Centre has been established for over 18 years. We meet the International Conference on Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use guidelines (ICH) and follow the Good Clinical Practice guidelines (GCP) as well. We also meet US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Canada’s Health Protection and Food Branch (HPFB) standards. We have a computerized patient database for efficient patient sorting and identification. Our relationships with other physicians and clinics allows accelerated accrual times and a broad referral network. We respond rapidly to initial submission requests for a trial and follow through with rapid patient enrollment and excellent patient retention. The Centre is committed to conduct ethical, effective and efficient medical research. We are members of the Clinical Research Association of Canada, past members of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and new members of the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) .
Clinical Research Experience:This Centre has been involved in professional and effective clinical research for over twelve years total. We can execute Phase II, III and IV clinical trials. We have been proud to work with numerous exceptional international and national pharmaceutical companies and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) that create innovative treatments and products dedicated to patients quality of life and health.
